The Three Hail Mary’s Devotion
This devotion was revealed to St. Melchtilde by Our Lady who said:
“But I also want you to say three special Hail Mary’s to me every day.”
The first Hail Mary is said to honor God the Father.
The second Hail Mary is said to honor the Son of God.
The third Hail Mary is said to honor God the Holy Spirit.
It was to St. Gertrude she said “To any soul who faithfully prays the three Hail Mary’s, I will, at the hour of their death fill their soul with heavenly consolation.”
The Twenty-four Glory be to the Father’s Devotion
To Saint Therese of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face asking for necessary favors.
The twenty-four “Glory be to the Father’s” Novena can be said at any time. However, the ninth to the seventeenth of the month is particularly recommended, for on those days the petitioner joins in prayer with all those praying this Devotion.
Between the Glory Be to the Father’s say:
“Saint Therese of the Child Jesus Pray for us”
The Jesus Prayer
This prayer consists of repeating the phrase:
“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner”
or “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me”
over and over, for a chosen length of time.
The exact phrasing is not important as the long as the name of Jesus is foremost and we request mercy.
Once you find a phrase you are comfortable, with use it.
Brown Scapular
This scapular is two small pieces of felt, with ribbon connecting the two pieces so they may be worn one piece in front and one at your back. It will generally have a picture of Mother Mary - Our Lady of Mt. Carmel on one side. Our Lady’s Scapular Promise, “Whosoever dies wearing this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire” will be on the other side.
Green Scapular
A small piece of green felt with the picture of Mary on one side and on the other this verse or one similar,
“Immaculate Heart of Mary pray for us now and at the hour of our death, we have recourse to Thee”
Someone who is ill, and or, wishing to keep the devil at bay may wear this scapular. Be sure to have it blessed.
